Beautiful Demoiselle

I spotted this in the garden and gave chase with the camera, isn't it a gorgeous creature. Apparently, info found on Google therefore open to interpretation, it was first seen in Scotland in 2002. This is the male, the wings when open look very much like a butterfly which caught my attention in the first place, once it settled on the rhododendron I couldn’t take a picture of them open. We have a burn running down one boundary, possibly it found it’s way across the garden from there?

Extra is taken from above and one of Rory spread out on the netting over a cage, we leave for the cats, one day it will fall apart. He was keen to help me change the bed earlier, as in crawling under the sheet I was trying to fit into place. He drew blood, twice, he plays rough, no wonder the others stay away from him. He is a lovely fellow but rather hyper, I recently emailed the vet asking for advise in case of a thyroid issue, he tested negative a year ago, they feel he is too young and in light of the blood test last year it was suggested he is OK. So long as he is not in need of help all is fine.
