Krka
Day 7
41km cycling
5km hike
We left the port of Sibenik, at 6.45, then set off up the Krka River, we had breakfast on the way. At Skradin we changed to a smaller boat, and went into the Krka National park. It was really beautiful and refreshing walking around the boardwalk enjoying all the waterfalls, fish, frogs, rock formations and lakes. Lots of people, but not surprising as it’s so beautiful there.
We returned to our boat, ate our packed lunch at Skridin, had a glass of wine at a bar that only had wine or brandy! Would have preferred a coffee, then our group set off on what turned out to be a rather long, very hot and hilly ride to Vodice. It was a little annoying cycling a normal bike, along with people with e bikes, they have to wait for us all the time, and they cycle much slower downhill!
In Vodice, we were hot and tired, but had chosen to do wine tasting, so back on the bike! What a lovely little family winery, a delicious plate of meats and cheese, and the best whine was a white “Debit” a local grape, v fresh and fruity. Dinner back on the boat was fish, sea bass and vegetables, also very good. Didn’t go anywhere else, just stayed on the boat chatting to our cycling friends.
