Solder Smoke By-product Splat

Yesterdays smoking soldering iron was only possible by tinning the tip.
This in turn creates excess that falls off usually after wiping with a wet sponge and can land with a splat effect on the nearest flat surface.

I think this could be a Marmite blip you either love it or hate it???
