Herring gull and concrete teddy-bear
I've noticed this bear before in Stromness overlooking the sea. It is pretty naff, garden gnome stuff and I think the gull would agree.
Still extremely windy here. I walked from Stromness (which means stormy headland!) along the shore past Ness and north. Three bonxies flew past and I saw a total of about ten. They were heading toward a flock of about 200 gannets feeding in Hoy Sound- the great skuas piraticise them. I took lots of photos see them here.. I carried on' fighting the gale, and decided, in spite of the conditions to scale Black Craig. I nearly got blown into next week, but it was a good walk.
