Flying in the wind

Today we took LMB'S kite to the grounds of Grimsthorpe Castle, again getting value from our Historic Houses membership. The little one had a go at flying it herself, once it was up in the air. It was amusing watching her daddy chase after it when she let go (!)

We also saw oodles of butterflies (see Extra) and a peacock blue damsel fly. The bright sunshine compensated for the strong wind and encouraged them out.

Tonight Mr and Mrs B have gone all the way to Coventry to see Rammstein perform at the outdoor stadium. So, for the first time, we put little Miss B to bed. She was as good as gold and fell asleep during her story. Now lovely smells are drifting this way as Mr PP has almost finished cooking our dinner. And the sun's still shining!
