An extraordinary day out on the buses - caught 821 Dales bus at Bingley - was driven through Nidderdale - an area of outstanding beauty - route took in Norwood - Fewstone - Blubberhouses - Greenhow - alighted bus at Coldstone Cuts - view therefrom in extra - walked to Pateley Bridge - where the oldest sweet shop in England was espied - weren’t charging old prices - partook of refreshments at a cafe just off the Main Street - home cooked and delicious - prior to walking along River Nidd - and eating ice cream - stem ginger - bought at an ice cream parlour - before catching said buses home
