We apologise for the delay but...

Every UK flight from Palma seemed to be have been at least 1-2 hours delayed last night - allegedly traffic controllers availability over the London area..  I have no axe to grind, you take your chance in this day and age but what does irritate me are the number of passengers - who obviously know no better - who want to complain at anyone who wears a uniform! Wouldn't you like to shake them!  I imagine the aircrew would like to get home as much as we would too and ranting abuse at them doesn't help anyone.  Our service was due at 22.28 from (gate) GA12 but we were herded to GA20 with 30 minutes to go.  We waited patiently there.  At 2330 the gate and queue was moved to GA18 where we crammed patiently until being moved again at 0015 back to GA12.  It certainly helped my steps count. Then the Newcastle Immigration seemed to be flummoxed by 4 jets that all landed within 10 minutes (more whining passengers).  Outside there seemed to be no certainty about the arrival of a car park passenger bus so we walked to Zone 2, eventually spotted our car and arrived home at 0345.
