Peat Free

We have experimented with peat free throughout the season. Growing in it has been no problem it just requires more water and liquid feed. However it is almost impossible to mechanically transplant into it.

The virtues of peat free are very limited. Trees cut down in Canada to provide the wood fibre and I am fairly sure coconut fibre doesn’t come from Yorkshire.

I will retire before I am forced to use it because of Green washing. It is about as environmentally friendly as an electric car.
