Give us a clue*

A good morning at the gym, with lot's of banter with Des, John & Dennis. On my walk home, I saw some signs, and followed the clues, see extras) but had to give it up in the end, as the next clue would have taken me out of my way. I still don't know what it was all about. A bit further on, I passes a short little man, walking a dog, and he smiled and said ( In a broad Irish accent) Good morning, and how are you today? I think maybe he was a leprechaun. The rest of the walk home was uneventful.
