Grotte di Nerone

When an Anzio gent offers to show you the Grotte di Nerone up close, then it's an offer you can't refuse!

Like myself, Milvio speaks only a little English but we managed just fine as he took me walk along the beach in front of the remains of Nero's Summer Palace, down through the 2500 year old caverns to admire the view further up the coast.

I explained (or tried to) how one of my blipmates, Tilly, had worked on the archaeological site of the palace in Anzio .......... "then please tell her what a wonderful job she did" he replied with a big smile.
