New discovery

I had a visit today from an artist who showed me 19 drawings by the late Adelaide artist Ingrid Erns. These drawings were bought by her at the Erns  estate auction back in 2003. I was previously unaware of them.

In this one we were both impressed by the excellent detail in the hair and the way that it was captured. The drawing is probably from the late 1950s.

I now know who the model was and when it was drawn, 1951. The model is the late mother of one of my friends.
