Japanese American Exclusion Memorial-Bainbridge Is

This morning husband and I decided to go to the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial National Park.  It is a curving wall on the site where on March 30, 1942,  227  Bainbridge Island Japanese American men, women and children walked to board ferries to take them to the concentration camps in California and Idaho.  We had also planned to go to the botanical gardens on the island, but hadn't bought our tickets ahead of time on line, so that will be another day.

We are going to dinner at the Inn tonight for our 39th anniversary.
