In an emotional announcement at the end of Friday’s Look North, a tearful Amy Garcia made the announcement that Harry Gration had died very suddenly.
He was her former co- presenter until his retirement in 2020.
He joined the BBC in 1978 and Look North in 1982.
A great cricket lover, cricket fans at Headingly
Test Match to day, joined in a round of applause for the broadcaster.
Yorkshire legend and a true gentleman, who will be greatly missed.
