Flower Friday

We went into Wilmington tonight for a pizza and to see what Friday night is like in the downtown.  There was a lot going on. I haven't been able to upload a couple of the photos but as we walked along the River Walk, we found this sign (Extra) and decided to wait around to see what happened. As we sat there the bride-to-be's mother introduced herself. She had flown in from Michigan to be there for the memorable occasion and to surprise her daughter.  I did get a photo of the happy couple just after the proposal and the ring but I couldn't get them to upload from my phone.

It was a memorable day in the U.S. otherwise with the overturning of Roe v Wade, something I didn't think possible. But with the conservative appointees, it did.  Now it is up to each state to decide how they will handle the matter.  There was a rather long group of marchers going through the downtown too.  This is only the beginning I fear.
