Cherries...

...on the cherry tree in our back yard. This is the first year since Tom planted it years ago that the whole tree is laden with them, although they're very small. Mae and I were debating if we should try eating them or not--we decided we would--so we each picked a couple and ate them. I spit the seed as far as I could, which, after she got over her shock at me spitting it, she thought was just the greatest thing ever, so she picked a handful of little cherries so she could try to beat where mine had landed. We also baked a rhubarb cake for her mom's birthday today and we celebrated with singing "Happy Birthday" and giving her mom the gifts we'd gotten her after dinner. A nice day.  :)
