Puffins appear to have two strategies for sand eel delivery.  

Some puffins essentially fly straight into the burrow (or perhaps just take one or two steps en-route), others wander around the mouth of the burrow for ages before disappearing with their load. 

This puffin was definitely in the former category, he took just a couple of steps before disappearing.
