Arnhem

Our last stop on the way back to the ferry. The town centre is very nice, and we'd have liked to have had longer there. We missed driving over the John Frost Bridge (Google Maps strikes again) but we did see it. 

The journey from Arnhem to the Hook of Holland was horrible with lots of periods of stationary traffic, especially around Rotterdam. The big lorries on either side make it rather scary as well as boring. Not a great combination!

We'd allowed extra time for the journey, so we were among the first to board and this time our sleep wasn't interrupted by loud announcements in our room telling us that the ship was setting sail. It was a very easy crossing.

And I'm writing this the next day, and we are safely home.
