Just the one, Mrs Wembley.....
Sorry it's back to the garden again today for a blip. We had a day at home, with lots of visiting work men to sort out various tasks. My treat, a tv in the kitchen so I can keep an eye on it while cooking! Or breakfasting. Or any old time I like. Investigating having more storage fitted, wardrobes etc and a dedicated cupboard for my craft stuff .... no excuses now. And the new chair arrived for the bedroom which forms the basis for the colour scheme. Subtle shades of aqua and lavender, patchwork fabrics, including a Morris. Unknowingly my sister in law saw the chair in the shop and said 'who would buy that, looks like the manufacturer had lots of bits left over'. I had to tell her...... she would only have seen it next time she visits.
The garden was amazing today, soft warm breezes, blossom scents, the magnolia fully out and stupendous. The chimenea broke in transit and will sit at a rakish angle in a flower bed, now filled with trailing red petunias. We found just the one fritiallary, but there will be more when we finish what we grandly call 'the copse', just a few small saplings that we are adding to, pittosporum for leaves, rowan for berries, cherries for blossom, and a small but perfectly formed larch ... so far.
Anyone remember the sitcom the title came from? Didn't run very long, wasn't even funny but the phrase stuck with us, somehow ....
