The beholder's eye

Isn't she lovely?

A few days ago I blipped one of our wild British bees, and promised you pictures of more as I found them...well today I found this little beauty in my garden, and couldn't resist Blipping her!
This is Andrena haemorrhoa, a small British bee, common in the spring.
This is a female, boasting a beautiful ginger coloured thorax with a black abdomen tipped with the same ginger colour,
These little bees ( she is about 2.5cm in length) love to nectar around the garden, but sadly go unnoticed a lot of the time.
If you have a blossom type tree in you garden, I challenge you to take a look at the insects visiting it, I bet you will see more variety than you expect!
