River of Flowers

Thursday: “Top Coll“

Up early this morning, beautiful sunshine which lasted all day.
Noticed a few ripe redcurrants when I was opening the greenhouse and decided to pick them along with some which were almost ripe. The blackbirds have been busy eating them but there are plenty to share - I’ll freeze ours when they’re fully ripe.
Took my broken spectacles back to the opticians in Bangor, pleasantly surprised that they said I could have a brand new pair as part of the 12 months guarantee - they put my prescription lenses into the new frames whilst I wandered around town for an hour.
Top College (Main Arts Building at Bangor University) holds all sorts of memories for me: I attended a few lectures there, sat all my exams for 2 degrees, lectured there, provided “Computer Helpdesk” service as well as meeting friends and colleagues for lunches there :-)) & it looked stunning with blue sky and sunshine this morning

Bought myself a latte from Costa, sat in the car park drinking coffee and deciding what to do next - 2 very large seagulls landed on the car roof, a signal for me to go home!
Finished my coffee in the garden with 2 toasted crumpets and the birds twittering in the background.
A storm was forecast. At 8pm the sky clouded over, there were a few drops of rain … that was it … the ground is bone dry, badly need rain :-((
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
