Caldey Island

Thursday 23rd June 2022

We decided on a boat trip over to Caldey Island today. The weather was still warm, the sun bright giving challenging contrasts and there weren't many clouds in the sky.

We got excited when we read about the woodland walk where red squirrels can be seen ... we didn't see any. We visited St David's church and the Abbey church (although that was closed) and then went on the nature trail. Back on the road, we made our way up to the lighthouse where we sat for our picnic lunch.

After lunch we had a walk along the coastal path to Red Berry Bay and saw a couple of seals down in the water. We then returned to the centre for an ice cream before boarding the boat back to Tenby. Another lovely.

Thankyou for pushing my puffin photos on to the second page of Popular.
