Peacock Pheasant

I had the delight of working at Birdland today with blipper Harebrain. Nicky and I were ready for the rain but we only had a few spots and there was enough light to get some good shots. We did have a laugh when we realised the haversack I had lent Nicky had a coat hanger hanging off it. Somehow neither of us had noticed it, not me when I handed it to her, not Nicky when she put her camera in it. We were nearly at Birdland when we spotted it and a passerby was laughing and saying we looked like we'd been shop lifting. 
A good day out in great company. 
I struggle to get a good photo of the peacock pheasant so was pleased it assumed a pose that allowed me to get its head and attractive feathers in the same shot. In extras, Mr Snowy Owl keeping guard as the wife is on the nest.
