View from our balcony

Today was our first stop on the cruise, Roatan, Honduras. While most passengers went ashore to explore we stayed aboard and witnessed a safety drill. The captain deployed all the lifeboats, had a medical boat visit each lifeboat about 100 yards away from the ship, then with the help of the medical boat redocked all the lifeboats back onto the ship. It was fascinating!
In this photo you see the medical boat pinning the lifeboat against the ship so the crew can hook up the pulleys to bring them back onboard. In the distance you can see two more yellow lifeboats waiting their turn to be inspected and brought back to the ship.
