Preparations

Very quiet office day. Just as well as it started ridiculously early when I realised I’d not renewed my parking permit and that it expired at midnight. Took ages to renew it as I seemed to have to start from scratch, uploading new evidence of owning the car etc which was a massive faff. Whilst I was on it I did a few other bank type things which always take ages…..felt I’d done so much and all before 6am!
Had a couple of online meetings then got stuck into email clearing to leave the files in a data protection compliant state….quite a meditative process.
Lunch that lasted longer than we intended with LC talking over her plans for the theatre’s future and how I might help. Interesting…
Back to the office, passing the building site on Bristo Sq where the outside bar is being set up for graduations and the Fringe. Nice to feel things will be back to that August buzz before too long (current Covid spike allowing!). Did yet more email wrangling and then met A&N at 56 North for a chilled lager in the sun…although it was a bit windy so we sat partly inside for some shelter! Jolly chat about her tax refund, their visit to Austria in a couple of weeks and house hunting (still!). They decided to stop off at Soi 38 for some Vietnamese food but I went home for scrambled eggs and an evening with the Repair Shop and Sewing Bee….
