Duck Portrait

It was 90°F (32°C) today, and I did not feel like walking in the heat. I decided to visit my local park to see how the river ducks were doing. This friendly Mallard drake (Anas platyrhynchos) walked right up to my car, so I got a closeup portrait of him from my open window. Many of the ducks that live along the river here have lost their fear of humans because people frequently offer them food, and I’m sure this one was hoping for a snack.
