Green Shoots

It feels as if winter hasn't really gone away - our weather has been pretty miserable over the past few weeks. We may complain about the rain, or the wind, or just being cold. But the temperature is changing, the seasons are moving on. And today, I noticed that the crops are starting to show in the fields. You can see where the tractor drove when it was planting, you can see the shoots coming through the ground.

At the top left of the picture you can also see The Binns Tower, a folly built around 1826 in the grounds of The House Of The Binns, the seat of the Dalyell family.
