Mealworm feeding frenzy
Few jobs done around the garden this morning and then an hour spent watching the bird feeder with the camera. The problem is, for much of the time I was there, the birds weren't.
I managed to get some images and a few minutes of video which can be seen --> here!
I'd filled this feeder with dried mealworms several hours earlier. They are normally all gone within an hour, especially when the starlings find them. Only takes a few minutes for the first arrivals to call in reinforcements.
Technical - All video and stills done with the 100-400mm at 400mm with 2x converter to get in close - tripod mounted, stabilisation off.
Video filmed at 1080p at 100fps using Canon CLog3 LUT. The camera doesn't do audio at 100fps so the audio track was added separately.
The second extra is one of the flowers that exploded in colour today. It reminds me of the cover of Sunburst Finish - an album (one of my all time favourites) by Be Bop Deluxe, a group some may remember.
