Beechwood Nature Reserve

It was Margaret's volunteer afternoon at Fulbourn today, I had a walk around the close-by Beechwood Nature Reserve while I waited for her.

I've photographed this old chestnut paling fence many times but today I thought I'd try a slightly different viewpoint. The tree roots always remind me of a picture I've seen of a stranded squid... can't help it, it sticks in my mind.
