Fête de la Saint-Jean

Last night the Castellers were in the village for the three days of festivities to celebrate the feast day and mid summer. In the evening the Correfocs were in the square with their fireworks carrying huge sparklers and Catherine wheels. The displays started late and I was too tired to attend knowing that I had to get up early to take friends to the airport. On the way back from the airport this morning, I joined the walking group for a hot walk around the vineyards in the lower slopes of the valley. This bug which I cannot identify was on the path. In the evening, we went into the village for an ice cream sundae to celebrate my birthday.
