Hospital appointment

Bright and early in Beaumont Hospital for a specialist appointment. I'm due a phone consultation tomorrow with my GP to discuss the current state of play.

My GP arrangements are a bit up in the air since we got back from our wonderful trip to Portugal. One of the doctors from the medical centre I've been associated with for the past six or seven years has left and brought her patients with her. Since I'm officially registered with her, my records and I have moved with her too. I have the option to revert to the previous practice but they aren't accepting either new patients or the return of previous ones until a new doctor who's joined the practice has settled in.

I'm undecided. I had hardly any dealings with the doctor who's moved, but she's the one I've been dealing with since we got back. She's turning out to be okay and has been sticking to her promises in terms of phoning when she says she will and she was very effective in arranging a procedure for me at very short notice.
