Departure day.

Sadly my eldest daughter is flying back to her home in France tonight. It has been wonderful to have her here and she has enjoyed fantastic weather. This morning, before it got too hot, we went to Highdown Chalk Gardens. The gardens were created by Sir Frederick and Lady Sybil Stern and it became a 60 year obsession to discover which plants from around the world could grow on chalk. Beautiful banks of roses perfumed the air. Came back and my daughters made a lovely lunch which we had before she left for the airport. Sad to see her go.
