Playful Swallows

I nipped up to Slimbridge on report of a Bluethroat having taken up residence over the past couple of days. I wasn't alone, and some had come from as far as Nottingham, but sign of the Bluethroat there was none. Someone said it had been singing at 08:20 and so had I, but in the shower.

Still, the swallows that have set up in the old pill box on the summer walkway were out and about, and these two were having fun fighting over perching rights. Since they spend most of their life awing, it's moot why it was so important to them to have the branch.

The fly watched from afar, nervously.

Hmm, my change of workflow had lost the EXIF. It was the Hubble plus 1.4x tele, so 840mm at 1/3200th and F9 at ISO 800.
