Fortunate Son
Evening all.
I was sitting in the ok yars coffee and contemplation, fair trade, save the otter, hang the carnivore, independent as the inheritance is long, save the bees and the coffee farmers, "well of course we make a profit despite being not for profit but really, well what can we do, fisherman's rope sandals don't make themselves" cafe on the acceptable face of the high street, near the big issue seller( but not too near to avoid active engagement with the patrons) and across from the sew yourself a refugee dynamic workspace .
It was there that Isolde and Tarquin told me of this tremendous new breakfast that I simply must try.
Apparently Isolde was talking to Inigo and Otterley who identify as gender fluid but prentiously solid, they'd been told by their adopted child's Shiatsu healer Araminta of a ravishing new breakfast that one simply had to try as soon as they had a moment, they were busy trying to remove a terrible stain called cultural identity from their child's DNA, along with that funny accent and name that was bit too foreign to pronounce without a raised eye brow or two at the Hunt Ball
Actually Araminta had been told by her Marbles and Parbles who'd been on a Christian aid Missionary type expedition via Sustainable and Cultural tours for 10 whole days to somewhere Araminta wasn't too sure of but may have been called the Clyd or Northern Kilbride.
Apparently there was some food up there that the working class gave to their ponies before riding them down the coal mine for a jolly time.
This super food was called Oats or something, and it must be good because both that male chef with the funny accent, who has tremendously succeeded to reposition his body mass In line with current fat shaming government guidelines , and Lady Amelia and Eliza Spencer rave about it in the Tatler 'eat like an poor ethic person ' page, but, and here is the twist that will endear you to the household staff....
You put it in the cold store, and eat it in the morning, cold, yah, cold, "just like one of those people who can't afford heating or fuel of any kind, you know, back in history times like last Thursday, ah workers, that's the very word"
Of course it tastes like dog shit, but one can feel it doing one good..."
Night all
