Speckled wood
Today we spent a lovely morning with our guide Javier on a Birds of Menorca tour. We were picked up at 7 a.m. and headed south from our resort on the north east of the island to Son Bou an area of reed beds and gorge scenery. Thereafter heading north west to a scrubland and seabird habitat. It was amazing. We saw around thirty new species as well as others we recognised, and a variety of butterflies, dragonflies, and even a pond turtle. This speckled brown was easier to photograph than the birds.
We had a great overview of the island and learned a lot.
