Oyster Mushrooms

Mister F went to a workshop by Rhyze about growing oyster mushrooms.  Rhyze are an Edinburgh non-profit mushroom farm and community education project.  Everyone was given a kit to take home.  The plastic tub contains mushroom 'spawn' in a mixture of waste products like coffee grounds and card. This little lot has been 'buried' in a box in a darkened cupboard to incubate for 3 weeks. The mushrooms should have started to grow by then and the tub gets moved into the light.  From first appearing as pinheads the oyster mushrooms should be ready to harvest within a week!
