Laundry Cottage and Kirkhope Tower

Seen from my walk with JP up the hill opposite my cottage, Midhill (next to Howford Hill and Helmburn Hill). Laundry Cottage is the near right building with the blue paintwork, and Kirkhope Tower is in the top left corner. The countryside is amazingly green at the moment.

On the walk we saw a lamb which was dragging itself along with its forelegs and seemed unable to use its back legs at all. We spoke to a farmer who told us which farm the lamb belonged to (it wasn't his) and that it had been like that for a while, so we phoned the SSPCA after the walk and they were going to send someone round. I expect that the lamb doesn't have much of a future, but that would probably be the best for it. The worst thing was that the farmer knew about the lamb and hadn't done anything about it.
