The Red Dragon

Well, probly more the purply red dragon - Neurothemis fluctuans.

The light was perfect and I recognized the potential of the background. I had good access, but the dragon was sitting wrong for what I had in mind. I wanted the abdomen pointing upwards rather than the offered parallel to the twig.

Not a huge problem, I simply moved around to the side and lifted his abdomen up in the air. It took a few goes but eventually he got the hang of what I wanted and held the pose. I love working with professionals.
