Four-Toothed Mason Wasp
I have been completely out of the swing for posting Tiny Tuesday blips for quite a while. With travels, house guests, weather etc. I just haven't been able to get my act together. Now we are nearing the end of June and it has occurred to me that I am hosting the Tiny Tuesday challenge for the month of July. My apologies for being so absent.
I took a brief trip to Hughes Hollow this morning and spent a delightful hour shooting birds and insects. This is actually a male four-toothed Mason Wasp as indicated by the white spot on his face. I am assuming the "Four-toothed" in its name comes from just that, but I wasn't in a position to verify that, even with the 400mm lens.
