Wool Away Day.....

A busy one today
The shearing contractors arrived in ready to start at 7.30 am,so a day spent rolling and packing fleeces.
By the time they left at 7 pm tonight they had managed over 700 black face and X hoggs ,including 60 tups. The ewe hoggs are lambs born in spring 2021 and are being kept as replacement breeding sheep. The Tups are the adult male breeding sheep.
Also had to run Junior to his work then pick him up again at 10.30 pm.
Left Gareth bringing in more sheep to shut in sheds ready for tomorrow. He had the last lot in by 11. 30 pm
So,time for bed again !
