Happy Winter Solstice!

At 9:13 tonight (NZ time) it is the Winter Solstice. What a wonderful feeling it is to be turning over into the new year.

The old year ended with a -5C frost this morning, and the new one looks likely to start with something similar if not colder tomorrow. Chez Mima looked crisp and sparkly as the sun appeared across the property. 

Thank you for the starts, hearts and comments yesterday. There are still a few i's and t's to deal with, but I'm close to deciding. Villan commented that that the Solstice is a good time for making big decisions. And coincidentally this happened exactly one year ago. 

That was a very good decision! Let's hope the latest one lives up to it.
