Bryn Celli Ddu

Went to visit Bryn Celli Ddu, an ancient Neolithic burial ground on the Isle of Anglesey. For the summer solstice they performed some fantastic music and songs in Welsh and Cornish on top of the mound. As dusk fell a ring of fire was lit around the mound and the inside of the tomb was lit up. It all looked and sounded beautiful.
At sunrise on the longest day of the year the sun rays travel through the passageway right inside the central chamber of the tomb which give the place a mystical significance and makes us wonder what beliefs the people held when they built this around 5000 years ago.
