Much better weather today.

We decided to go for a walk this afternoon & hope that it stayed dry

Well worth it as we saw lots of wildlife including quite a few butterflies .... dragonflies that didn't want to pose ..... damselflies & plenty of birds!

I decided to make a collage of some of the butterflies

Top row: Ringlet, a Small White & an uncooperative Meadow Brown!

Bottom: Small Tortoiseshell butterflies sharing a thistle & a Peacock caterpillar that was walking along the road!

Not sure why the caterpillar was on the road but we moved it onto the verge near some nettles ... hopefully it stayed there!

As we reached home we felt the first few drops of rain ..... good timing :-)
