Ditching the rep

I am definitely trying to ditch the reputation that I am always at the pub, however since this is the only photo I've taken today, I can't really deny that I was, in fact, at the pub today.

My day started far more wholesomely with a lovely local trail run followed by church. I had then planned to go for coffee and cake with Grace as she doesn't find Father's Day easy and she doesn't have family here. Honestly, I would have gratefully eaten cake but Grace fancied a pint and I didn't want her to drink alone.

I am a huge fan of the movie 'Amelie' and it has come up a lot in conversation since my trip to Paris. Unbelievably, one of my friends hasn't seen it and so came over to watch it tonight. She'd promised to bring treats and was super chuffed to pull out of her bag 'du pain', 'du vin' and 'du boursin'. Massive geek.
