Farter's Day
I returned from a lovely couple of nights in Skipton (came second in a local pub quiz on the Friday night, forgot to mention that) in time to collect the wee ones for a couple of hours of bonus time on Father’s Day.
They were crying with laughter before I had even opened the card from them informing me that I was the “World’s Greatest Farter”. They’ve certainly chosen an interesting way to tell me that they don’t want any Christmas presents this year…
As agreed, we sat and had a picky lunch whilst we caught up on our gossip from the weekend - m’boy had played in a cricket match that morning and won - and then with it being such a nice day, we had a wander down to the park, which was eerily quiet. It was good news for them though as they had the run of the place.
I was also able to exact my revenge for the farter card by resuming the bid to get them to touch the top wire on the zip line. We’re definitely getting closer.
Speaking of closer, I am hopeful that my relationship with Michael (the builder) will come to an end this week. There simply can’t be that much more for him to do before I am able to have one last splash about with the paintbrush and finally be able to properly use the new bathroom.
It’s been a great weekend with hopefully, an exciting week to follow!
