Carpenter Bee

It was much too hot and we had an lazy fathers day inside. M. and C were there for a lovely chat :-)
Our Chitalpa started to bloom. It is grown to a large tree and we have a fabulous sight on the blossoms from our living room in the first floor.
I observed sparrows and lots of bees. But I  was thrilled when a carpenter bee appeared. They are giant, they are quick and they are shy, but it didn't notice me behind the window :-D
For a size comparison, please look for the bee that flies past a little above. Carpenter bees are really giant!
