Highcliffe Castle
Today we visited here, an interesting country home that has been restored after a fire in the 1970s. The motto of the family, carved into the balustrade translates
as “ Sweet it is, when on the great sea the winds are buffeting the waters, to look from the land on another's great struggles" and is a quote from Roman poet Lucretius.
We also sat in the grounds and had lunch listening to a band who were ok until the singer started.
We also walked down to the beach which was lovely.
Now back at the van chilling until dinner.
