The Garstang and Knott End Railway opened in 1870 although the line didn't reach Knott End until 1908. The line was closed in stages from 1930 until the final blow in 1965.

This old platform trolley is used as a flower display in the village of Pilling, I might blip it again when it has got some flowers in it!

The version of my Saturday blip that I put on Flickr has been on Explore and has had an amazing 778 views as I type this.
