Balancing on a branch

At 6 am this morning, on my early morning walk, I looked up into the sky and saw the wafer thin waning moon seemingly balancing on a leafy branch of the Birch tree which is planted near my building. It looked so pretty there in the sky.

When I went out it was already 24C and now at 10.30 am it's already 30C!
My son and his wife are visiting England for business and pleasure and they said that it was 15C when they arrived yesterday! I wish I could send them some of my heat!
