Hilbre Island

A day out the Wirral today. We'd always said that we'd walk across to Hilbre Island and as the timing of the tides today were suitable, we made our way across. It's always hard to imagine the high tide when the sea goes out as far as it does at West Kirby and in the Dee Estuary and leaves so much sand exposed.

The views were good today, and it was interesting to be able to see across to Talacre where we visited 3 weeks ago. I loved that being so far out from the coast gave us a completely different perspective of the Wirral.
