Brief Encounter

The Otley Carnival took place today. Unfortunately, the weather was not as good as it should have been, but I believe a good time was had by almost all.

My day was made by the surprise appearance of a very good friend and colleague, her daughter and grand-daughter. We hadn't seen each other for months and both of us have been in the hurt locker for some time. Better yet, MrsDroog got to meet them and there were hugs all round.

It was an amazing day: everyone in Otley I've been worried about lately appeared and said that they are OK.

I think I might sleep at peace tonight.
